Keyboard Support for Medibang

1. What is Keyboard Support on Medibang?

Medibang Paint Pro is an excellent drawing program, especially for drawing Manga/Comics. However, one of the pain points of Medibang Paint Pro was the hidden keyboard. For the beginner, you might think Medibang was difficult at first because something was missing in the program. "This is a house with not much furniture. Now you have to live with this" I also thought like this.

Example: You couldn't find the button "Add" to continue adding more fields when using the Selection tool. To those who are used to the digital art program, you can find another solution. Medibang still has some hotkeys/shortcuts, just the same as Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint. But for the beginner, that will be a big problem. You are playing hard mode now.

Why did Medibang do this? I think they were trying to make everything look simple at first. But they find out the users' problem! Later with the new update, they added Keyboard Support which is very helpful for us - users. Now it's easier to use Medibang :)

2. How to open Medibang Keyboard Support?

For someone still can't find Keyboard Support on Medibang, you can open it on menu Window -> tick Keyboard Support



After you tick that menu, you will see the "Key" menu appear immediately on the top menu. If you don't see anything change, that means the tool you are using doesn't have a hidden button or needs to have Keyboard Support.

Here is how it looks:



Go back with the example, you will choose Selection tool and tick Keyboard Support. Then look at the top menu, you have this:



With this menu, you will have the Deselect button, which will help you get rid of the selection area. They also have the Add/Delete a selection, which will let you add more or delete some parts you don't need. Whenever you click that button, the icon + or - will appear on your hover like this.
